A public tool to check of your digital media is real and truthful.

We are advancing open, research-driven detection tools and building the scholarly and practitioner community around them. Our goal is to reduce barriers to trustworthy media analysis in an AI-saturated information environment. The technology is open. The methods are inspectable. The mission is public-interest.
No detection system achieves perfect accuracy. We do not claim otherwise. TrueMedia reports performance metrics, uncertainty levels, and known limitations with clarity. Reliability is not assumed; it is measured, documented, and continuously evaluated. Every decision determined by a model is checked by a human. We believe in the importance of humans being involved when assessing truth.
Detection is only the first step. We analyze system outputs, aggregate usage patterns, and incorporate public feedback to generate empirical insight into deepfakes, online fraud, and AI-enabled information manipulation. This research directly informs evidence-based policymaking in cybersecurity, platform governance, and information integrity.
